In this tutorial checkout how to update Sony Xperia M to Android 5.1.1 Lollipop via CM 12.1 Nightly Custom ROM – Guide
Sony came up with Xperia M on June 2013 and it sports 4.0 inch capacitive touch screen display with 480 x 854 pixels resolution, 1 GHz dual-core Krait Snapdragon S4 Plus processor combined with Adreno 305 GPU and 1GB RAM. Xperia M comes with 4GB internal storage which is expandable using microSD card up to 32GB and it runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean out of the box and is upgradable to Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and is not expected to receive the Android 5.0 Lollipop firmware update, so the users have to depend on the Custom ROMs to update their device to lollipop. So we have come up with CM 12.1 Nightly Custom ROM for Xperia M.
CM 12.1 Nightly is based on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop firmware and brings all the features of the Lollipop firmware to Xperia M. As this version is still in Nightly build it may contain some bugs which can be fixed over the time via OTA or manual patches.
To install this ROM on your Xperia M, you must have root access and Custom Recovery installed. If you haven’t yet rooted and installed Custom Recovery then go and get it done first.
