Getting Started:
- Take a backup of your important data. Backup SMS | Contacts | Call Logs.
- Charge YU Yunicorn to at least 70%.
- Enable USB Debugging on YU Yunicorn from Settings > Developer Options. Developer Options missing? Follow this tutorial.
- Enable OEM Unlock from Settings > Developer Options.
- Install appropriate YU USB Drivers on PC.
- Setup ADB and Fastboot drivers on PC.

How to Unlock Bootloader on YU Yunicorn YU5530:
Step 1: Open Fastboot folder and press and hold the shift key and right click inside the folder at the empty space and from the list of options choose Open command window here.
Step 2: Power off YU Yunicorn and press and hold the Volume Up and Power buttons together and Choose Bootloader from the list.
Step 3: Connect it to PC and type below commands in CMD:
fastboot –i 0x1ebf devices
This command lists the devices connected to PC in Fastboot Mode. It is used to verify if YU Yunicorn is connected to PC properly.
fastboot –i 0x1ebf oem unlock
After entering the above command, the data on YU Yunicorn will be erased and its bootloader will be unlocked.
fastboot –i 0x1ebf reboot
This command boots the device into normal/ standard mode.

when i type the command fastboot -i 0x1ebf devices its showing waiting for devices
Dear Sir,
I have read useful tips about YU5530.
I am facing problem of message on screen ” please enter privacy restriction password to unlock ” for unlocking the phone, which i may have forgotten / may not be knowing.
I have tried factory reset but to no purpose. Quick Heal antivirus customer care also did not help me in this regard. I am totally stuck. Is there any solution and you can provide guide lines to restart my phone and oblige.

Waiting for the device is caused when your device is not detected by Fastboot. Below are the things you can try.
1. Install YU USB Drivers on your PC.
2. Make sure you have included
–i 0x1ebfon every Fastboot command.
