Getting Prepared:

1. Make a complete backup of your device.

Backup files on internal storage to PC

2. Enable USB Debugging on Moto E 2015.
3. Charge the device to at least 75%.
4. Unlock Bootloader on Moto E 2015.
5. Install Motorola USB Drivers on PC.
6. Setup Fastboot and ADB drivers on PC.

How to Install TWRP Recovery on Moto E 2015:

Step 1: Download the required TWRP Recovery image from the above downloads section.

Step 2: Rename the file to recovery.img and copy it to Fastboot folder.

Step 3: Open the command prompt inside the Fastboot folder, by opening the Fastboot folder and pressing and holding Shift key and right clicking inside the Fastboot folder at the empty space and choosing open command window here.

Step 4: Boot Moto E 2015 into Bootloader / Fastboot Mode.

• Power off Moto E 2015.
• Press and hold Volume Down + Power buttons simultaneously for few seconds.

Step 5: Connect Moto E 2015 to PC while it is still in the Fastboot Mode.

Step 6: Now in CMD type the following commands and hit enter after each command.

fastboot flash recovery recovery.img

This will install the TWRP Recovery on Moto E 2015.

fastboot reboot

This commands reboots Moto E 2015 into normal mode.

That’s it! Now have installed TWRP Recovery image on Moto E 2015 and its time to flash the SuperSU package and Root Moto E 2015.

How to Root Moto E 2015:

Step 1: Download the SuperSU Package and transfer it to root of the device’s SD card.

Step 2: Boot Moto E 2015 into Recovery Mode.

• Power off Moto E 2015.
• Press and hold Volume Down and Power buttons simultaneously for few seconds and choose Recovery using Volume Down button and select it using volume up.

Step 3: Follow the zip flashing guide and install the SuperSU package.

Step 4: Reboot Moto E 2015 and check for root access using Root Checker App.
