Are you looking for the ways to soft reset or factory reset Galaxy S8 Plus or Galaxy S8? Then, this tutorial might help you. In this tutorial, we are going to list steps on how to Soft Reset and Factory hard Reset Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus Smartphones. The Soft Reset method involves the use of Reset option from Settings, while the hard reset requires you to boot your device into Recovery Mode.

Factory Hard Reset Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus

Factory Reset Galaxy S8 Plus and Galaxy S8 reverts your device back to factory defaults and it is mostly done when you are having issues with the device software. Before you proceed to Factory Reset Galaxy S8 or S8 Plus, you must follow the blow pre-requisites.

Pre-Requisites:

  1. As Factory Resetting Galaxy S8/Plus wipes all of your data and settings. It is recommended to backup all of your data to a safe place.
  2. Charge your device to at least 50%.

How to Soft Reset Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus:

Step 1: Open Settings on your device.

Step 2: Tap on RESET under LOOKING FOR SOMETHING ELSE?

Step 3: Now tap on Factory data reset.

Step 4: Read the instructions carefully and tap on RESET DEVICE.

Step 5: Enter your PIN/Password and follow the onscreen instructions.

How to Factory Hard Reset Galaxy S8 Plus or Galaxy S8 – Recovery Method:

Step 1: Boot your Galaxy S8 or S8 Plus into Recovery Mode.

Step 2: Once the device is in Recovery Mode, use the Volume Keys to highlight wipe data/factory reset and select it using the power button.

Step 3: In the next screen, choose Yes.

Step 4: Also wipe cache and then reboot your device.
