In this tutorial, we are going to install Stock Firmware on Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus devices. Installing Stock Firmware back on Galaxy S8 Plus and Galaxy S8 will fix Bootloop issues, unbrick the device and unroot it.
After you have installed the Stock Firmware on Galaxy S8 Plus or Galaxy S8 you can use your device as a brand-new smartphone. So, without any further discussion let’s proceed to the steps on how to unbrick Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus.
- This tutorial is only for Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus Smartphones.
- Install Samsung Galaxy S8/S8 Plus USB Drivers on your PC.
- Charge your device to at least 65-70%.

How to Install Stock Firmware on Galaxy S8 Plus and Galaxy S8:
Step 1: Run Odin.exe as administrator on PC.
Step 2: Extract the downloaded firmware package to obtain .tar or .md5 file.
Step 3: Power off Galaxy S8/S8 Plus and boot into Download Mode by pressing and holding Volume Down + Bixby + Power buttons together.
Step 4: Connect your device to PC using OEM USB Cable.
Step 5: After successful connection, you should see Added! Message in Odin Software.
Step 6: Click on AP or PDA and choose the firmware package.
Step 7: Under Options tab, check only F.Reset Time and uncheck remaining all other options.
Step 8: Click on Start button to begin the flashing process.
Step 9: Once the flashing process is successful you should see PASS! message on Odin.
Step 10: Disconnect your device and reboot it.
Note: The first boot might take some time. So, please be patience and let the device boot up successfully.
