Jio SIM itself is a 4G SIM and cannot be used on any 3G phone, but using some tricks we can make it to work on some 3G phones. Most probably the MediaTek Smartphones running on Android KitKat OS are supported by this trick, but you can still try your luck and follow the instructions listed below to use Jio SIM on 3G phone.

How to use Reliance Jio 4G SIM on 3G Phone:
Step 1: Download MTK Engineering Mode app on your device from here.
Alternate Method: Instead of downloading MTK Engineering Mode app, you can dial *#*#4636#*#* and tap on Phone information. If this code doesn’t work on your device, then download MTK Engineering Mode app.
Step 2: Open the app and tap on MTK Settings button.
Step 3: Tap on preferred network.
Step 4: Select 4G LTE/WCDAMA/GSM from the list of options or choose LTE/GSM/CDMA auto (PRL) option.
Step 5: Save and reboot your device.
Step 6: After you should see Jio 4G Network on your device.
Q1) Which 3G Phones are supported by this trick?
A) 3G Phones with MediaTek Chipset running on Android KitKat version are supported.
Q2) How much data speed will I get if I use this trick?
A) You can use Jio 4G net in 3G Speeds. Anyways it is better than nothing.
