This tutorial shows How to Remap Bixby Button on Galaxy S8/S8 Plus to Google Assistant
Samsung has recently launched its latest Android Flagship smartphones of 2017, the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus. Among various features Galaxy S8/S8 Plus has to offer, Bixby Assistant is one. Bixby is Samsung’s own voice assistant and Galaxy S8/S8 Plus are the first devices to offer it. The devices come with the dedicated button to launch the Samsung’s Bixby Assistant and some users want to remap it to launch Google Assistant, as they are not impressed by the Bixby. So in this tutorial, we are going to share steps on how to remap Bixby button on Galaxy S8/S8 Plus to launch Google Assistant.
To remap Bixby button on Galaxy S8 Plus/S8 to launch Google Assistant or any other application, follow the steps listed below.

Steps to Remap Bixby Button to launch Google Assistant:
Step 1: Open the All in one Gestures app.
Step 2: Grant the permission to modify system settings. Though they are not necessary for the task we are going to achieve, but it will come in handy if you want to map the button to launch any system activity, in future.
Step 3: Swipe left or tap on HARD KEYS tab.
Step 4: Toggle the switch beside Enable. A message is prompted at the bottom of the screen to enable the service in Settings > Accessibility. Just tap on the message, scroll and find the All in one Gestures and toggle the switch on.
Step 5: Go back to the app again and Enable, HARD KEYS.
Step 6: Tap on the vertical three dots at the top right corner. Tap on Custom Keys and press the Bixby button. Now the Bixby Assistant opens press the back button to return to All in one Gestures.
Step 7: Once you are back into the app, you should see that the Key Code field is populated with the number 1082. Now press the ADD.
Step 8: Now select the Key Code #1082. A screen should pop up asking to choose an action.
Step 9: Tap on Search from the list. Now Search options should pop up. Select Voice Search.
Step 10: Now press the Bixby button and you should see Google Assistant launching.
Congratulations! You have successfully remapped the Galaxy S8/S8 Plus Bixby button to launch Google Assistant.
You can set any application to launch upon pressing the Bixby button. This can be done by following the steps 1 to 8 from above. If you have followed the Steps 1 to 8 a screen should pop up with Action tab being active. Swipe right and you should be in the applications tab from here you can choose any application to launch for the press of Bixby button.
