This tutorial shows how to use SOS feature on Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge.
Samsung launched the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge at the MWC event which held in March this year. Samsung made lot of improvements with these devices both in terms of physical design and software department. Earlier we have seen quick connect feature on Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge and today we are going to see SOS feature. It is an emergency feature, which takes pictures from front and rear camera and send it to set of emergency contacts.
SOS feature on Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge can be activated by pressing power button quickly three times. As soon as you tap the power button three times, it will take pictures from both front and rear camera and send them to your emergency contacts, it will also send your exact location, so that your emergency contacts can find you easily. This feature comes in handy when you are in trouble.
So without any further ado, let’s proceed and see how to enable and use SOS feature on Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge Android Smartphones.
How to use SOS feature on Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge:
Step 1: Pickup your device and go to Settings and tap on Privacy and Safety.
Step 2: Tap on Send SOS message and enable it by agreeing to terms and conditions.
Step 3: It will ask you to add at least one emergency contact, tap on ADD and select the contacts of your loved ones. You can choose up to 4 contacts.
Step 4: Once done, you will see settings, where you can set what information you would like to attach to the message like Pictures, audio recording, location etc.
Step 5: Now whenever you press the power button 3 times quickly, it will send help message to your emergency contacts.
Note: This feature only works when you are using the default messaging app. So uninstall all the third party messaging apps or disable them.
