This tutorial shows how to update Xperia Z, Xperia Z Tablet, Xperia ZL and Xperia ZR to Android 5.1.1 Lollipop 10.7.A.0.222 Official firmware
Sony rolled out the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop firmware to Sony Xperia Z, Xperia Z Tablet, Xperia ZL and Xperia ZR Android Smartphones. The update is rolled out via Over-The-Air (OTA) with 10.7.A.0.222 as build number. If you haven’t received the update yet, then don’t worry just follow the steps listed in this tutorial and manually update Xperia Z, Xperia Z Tablet, Xperia ZL and Xperia ZR to Android 5.1.1 Lollipop 10.7.A.0.222 firmware.
- Backup all of your important data to safe place so that if anything goes wrong we can restore the data. Backup SMS, Contacts, Call Logs and files stored on internal storage to PC.
- Charge your device to at least 75%.
- Enable USB Debugging from Developer Options.
- Download and install Sony USB Drivers on PC.
- Install and Setup Sony Flash Tool on PC.

Step 1: Download the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop 10.7.A.0.222 firmware for your device from the below links:
Xperia Z C6602 [Generic/Unbranded] – Link
Xperia Z Tablet SGP 311, SGP 312, SGP 321 – Link
Xperia ZR C5502 – Link
Step 2: Follow the instructions listed here and flash the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop 10.7.A.0.222 FTF firmware file on your Sony Xperia device.
Step 3: Reboot your device.
Step 4: Check the firmware and build number from Settings > About Phone.
That’s it now you have manually updated Xperia Z, Xperia Z Tablet, Xperia ZL and Xperia ZR to Android 5.1.1 Lollipop 10.7.A.0.222 official firmware.
