Early Preparations:

How to Root Xperia Z2 and Xperia Z3 on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop firmware:

Step 1: Download the package containing all the required files from the link below:

XperiaRoot_ALP.zip

Step 2: Extract it to a folder and copy all the files to your device’s internal or external storage. Below are the files which you will get after extracting the package.

  • Busybox.apk
  • Recovery.apk
  • Root.apk
  • SuperSU.zip

Step 3: Install Root.apk file and open it and tap on Root button to root your device.

Step 4: Now install Busybox.apk and then Recovery.apk

Step 5: Open the Recovery app and tap on “Install Recovery”. (If you already have Custom Recovery installed skip this step).

Step 6: Boot Xperia Z2 / Xperia Z3 into Recovery Mode. You can do so by powering the device off completely and powering it on and press Volume Up or Down buttons couple of times.
