Before you proceed make a note that this patched HBOOT file is for the Sprint HTC One M9 device with firmware versions 1.32.651.30 and 2.6.651.11. Moreover to flash this file on your Sprint HTC One M9, you have to S-OFF your HTC One M9.

Early Preparations:

  1. Make sure to S-OFF Sprint HTC One M9, you can easily do it using Sunshine app, but you need to have root access or rooted Sprint HTC One M9.
  2. Install the necessary HTC USB Drivers on PC.
  3. Setup ADB and Fastboot drivers on PC.
  4. Enable USB Debugging on Sprint HTC One M9 from Developer Options.

How to remove red text from Sprint HTC One M9:

Step 1: Download the suitable patched HTBOOT file for your Sprint HTC One M9 from the download section.

Step 2: Copy the download file to the Fastboot folder.

Step 3: Open the Fastboot folder and press and hold Shift key and right click at the empty space inside the Fastboot folder and choose Open command window here.

Step 4: Boot HTC One M9 into Fastboot mode.

  • Power off HTC One M9.
  • Press and hold Volume Down + Power buttons until screen turns up. Now using the Volume Down button choose Fastboot option and select it using Power button.

Step 5: Connect HTC One M9 to PC using appropriate USB cable.

Step 6: Now in CMD type the following commands and hit enter after each command:

fastboot oem rebootRUU

Step 7: Now type the following command to flash the HBOOT zip file to HTC One M9.

fastboot flash zip Sprint_M9_Red_Text_Removed.zip

If you are on 2.6.651.11 firmware type the below command and hit enter.

fastboot flash zip 2.6.651.11_Red_Text_Removed_Aboot.zip

Step 8: If you see any message asking you to reboot or flush, then re-flash the HBOOT file again using the above commands.

Step 9: If your device reboots automatically, follow the procedure from Step 4 again.

Step 10: If the flashing is successful you will receive a success message. Now reboot your device using the command below:

fastboot reboot
