Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge launched at MWC 2015 – Specs, Features and price
Samsung Mobiles have launched the two new flagships Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge at MWC 2015, which is being held at Barcelona, Spain. These device’s come up with whole new design from Samsung, which is completely different from its previous design. Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge will be available from next month in 32GB, 64GB and 128GB variants and are going to be priced from 699 Euros (approx. Rs. 49K) onwards.
Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge features a 5.1 Inch Super AMOLED display with corning gorilla glass 4 protection and 1440 x 2560 pixels resolution. They are powered by Exynos 7420 Octa-core chipset (2.1GHz quad-core Cortex A57 + 1.5GHz quad-core Cortex A53) coupled with Mali T760 GPU and 3GB RAM. The device runs on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop and is available in 32GB, 64GB and 128GB storage options and there is no expandable slot for SD card.
Samsung Galaxy S6 sports a 16MP AF OIS camera with 4K recording and a 5MP font-facing camera with 1080p recording. Coming to the connectivity of the device, it supports 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac, NFC, IR, Bluetooth, GPS with GLONASS / Beidou. Other key features include Finger print scanner with PayPal certified / Samsung Pay (MasterCard / visa certified), heart rate sensor. It is powered by 2550 mAh battery.
Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge also packages the same stuff as the Galaxy S6 except the battery and the display. Galaxy S6 Edge drags its power from 2600 mAh battery and it has the curved displays on both the side which gives completely unique look and feel. The edge screen in Galaxy S6 is slightly different from the Galaxy Note 4 Edge as there were some functions removed and while the other are added. Out of the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy S6 Edge looks more premium than the Galaxy S6.
Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge will be available from next month and the price of the Galaxy S6 Edge will be slightly higher than Galaxy S6.
