With the launch of Apple iPhone X, Face ID got the wide attention among various users and manufacturers. We have been seeing some OEM manufacturers trying to implement Face ID on their upcoming devices. As of now, there are only a few manufacturers and among which Meiigoo is one. Meiigoo is rumored to be implementing Face ID Tech on their upcoming MEIIGOO Note 8.
We have previously revealed that Meiigoo is working on an all-screen device called Meiigoo Note 8 and now we have reports saying that the device will feature a similar face recognition systems as the new iPhone X. It is allegedly reported that the front-facing camera on the Note 8 with 3D facial recognition can accurately detect facial features and unlocks the phone. More details about the face access technology are yet to be revealed.
The Company has also uploaded a design video of the Note 8 on their YouTube Channel and you can watch the video below.
From the video, we can find that the Meiigoo Note 8 looks similar to its predecessor Meiigoo S8. It features an 18:9 all-screen design, dual-sided 3D curved glass, unique mirror-like finish and the dual camera setup on the back along with the fingerprint scanner.
