How to install MIUI 7 Global ROM on Xiaomi Smartphones:

Step 1: Download the MIUI 7 Global ROM for your device from this page. Make sure to download Recovery version, but not Fastboot version.

Step 2: Rename it to update.zip and transfer it to your device’s internal storage. Don’t copy it inside any folder, just place it at the root of internal storage.

Step 3: Launch the updater app and tap on Choose update package.

Step 4: Now select the update.zip file which you have copied earlier and follow the onscreen instructions.

Step 5: Now your device should reboot into MI Recovery and install the update package. Once installed it will reboot automatically, if it doesn’t reboot manually.

Step 6: Wait for the device to boot up successfully. Make a note that first boot might take some time.
